The Silver Creek Farmers' Market was founded in Mills County in the spring of 2002. The market site is in Silver City, Ia. , a town of approximately 275 people. Silver City is nestled in the Loess Hills, about 20 miles southeast of Council Bluffs.

Three other small towns, Glenwood, Treynor and Malvern, are all within a 10 mile radius. Silver City is also proud to be a stop along the Wabash Nature Trail which is frequented by bicyclists and hikers.

Customers travel to our market by car, foot or bicycle as part of their weekly routine. Trail users often hail from the Omaha, NE and Council Bluffs, IA metro area. Our market has already established itself as a "Saturday morning tradition" in our little town.
